Wellcare Delaware Launches Integrated Dual Special Needs Plan for 2026

December 2025 — Wellcare by Delaware First Health announced the introduction of an integrated Dual Special Needs Plan (D-SNP) for 2026, designed for members eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid. The new plan streamlines provider workflows through enhanced digital tools, including Availity Essentials and the Wellcare portal. An FAQ resource has been created for managing Duals transactions in the secure provider portal and Availity. 

Key features include:
Single Member ID for both Medicare and Medicaid.Unified screens to verify eligibility, view benefits, and submit claims and authorizations.Access to care plan details and Care Team contacts via the portal.Integrated payment processing, with combined Medicare and Medicaid claims on a single EOP.
